This half-day immersive experience begins in the heart of Naxos’ mainland, at a majestic marble quarry, where one of the owners will guide you through the breathtaking site. Learn about ancient and modern extraction methods, quality standards, and the many stories hidden within the marble itself. After almost two full hours in this otherworldly landscape, you will gain deep appreciation for this precious gift of Nature and the awe-inspiring human craftmanship required to extract it.
You will then visit an ancient quarry, active until the 6th century BC. Here, you’ll witness the extraordinary legacy of the early Naxian craftsmen through the unfinished yet iconic statue (Kouros), a silent reminder of the island’s long artistic lineage.

- Hotel pick-up is not included in the tour price. All guests are requested to meet the guide directly at the designated Meeting Point . Please make sure to arrive 10–15 minutes before departure to ensure a smooth start. A van transfer is included as part of the tour itself. This means that we will provide all transportation needed to carry out the scheduled visits. If you would like to arrange a private pick-up and drop-off service (from your accommodation to the Meeting Point before the tour, and return afterwards), this can be organized upon request.
